The Overnight

Updated 16 June 2026 · We visit. We don't sell placement.

Stay after the day-trippers leave and the island changes character — quiet beaches, sunset, and a calm morning swim before the first ferries arrive.

Good for: Couples and anyone who wants the island at its quietest.

The overnight is the island's best-kept secret. The day-trip crowd vanishes on the late boats, and what's left is a quiet, low-key island with empty beaches, a real sunset and a dawn swim you'll have almost to yourself. It's made for couples and anyone who finds the daytime bustle too much. The only catch is logistics: rooms are limited and sell out in peak season, and you'll want cash, so book ahead and plan your supplies.

Duration
2 days / 1 night
Rough cost
From ~800–2,500฿+ per person depending on the room: a village guesthouse is cheap, a beachfront resort isn't. Plus ferries, food and transport.
What to book
Book your room ahead — Koh Larn's limited stays sell out on weekends and through the cool-season peak. Bring cash for the rest.
Getting around
Stay put near your base; explore one or two beaches at leisure over two days.
